Job Summary
We are looking for team members with genuine kindness and a passion for hospitality
and service to take food and beverage orders from our discerning clientele. Joyce can
be a fast-paced environment so being quick on your feet, physically capable, and
solution driven is required.

Job Requirements

 Bartenders must have at least 2 years of experience with a solid understanding
of food and beverage. Experience in a chef-driven restaurant a plus.

 High School Diploma or the equivalent

 Candidates must be available for weekends and holidays.

 Knowledge of the English language required. Additional languages a plus.

 Must have clean uniform every shift and must have great hygiene practices.

 Must be able to work all scheduled shifts. Call outs due to being sick will require
a doctor’s note.

 Must have Serve Safe and RBS Certification.

 Heavy Lifting - Ability to lift and change beer kegs weighing up to 50 lbs.

 Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other staff, management, and
guests are saying, asking questions as appropriate, and being part of the solution
for the guest’s dining experience guaranteeing success for Joyce.

 Active Communication – Talk to staff, management, and guests to convey
information effectively.

Primary Job Duties

 Have a positive attitude.

 Meet the standards as set forth by Joyce in training.

 Describe and recommend wines and/ or spirits to guests.

 Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making
recommendations upon request. Be prepared to explain how various menu items
are prepared, describing ingredients, allergens and cooking methods.

 Inform guests of daily specials.

 Take orders from guests for food and beverages while maintaining a clean and
sanitary bar area.

 Prepares and maintains ingredients by following recipes.

 Check with guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to
correct any problems.

 Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware,
and glassware.

 Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens.

 Fill salt, pepper, sugar, cream, condiments, etc.

 Roll silverware, set up food stations, or set up dining areas to prepare for the
next shift or for large parties.

 Cleaning the restrooms or any other area of the restaurant If needed.

 Coordinates daily supply inventory for bar and submits list to supervisor.

 Ensures smooth operation of bar services during absence of supervisor.

 Listens to guests who come to bar to decompress.

 Provide guests with information about local areas, including directions.
